Privacy Policy

Effective Date: October 01, 2026

Mynycwebsite operates the online store at mynycwebsite.com. This policy explains, in plain terms, what personal information we collect when you browse or order, why we hold it, who else sees it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers the whole site and any message you send us.

1. What we collect

We collect three kinds of information, and nothing beyond what an order or a question actually requires.

  • Information you give us. Your name, email address, phone number, and the shipping and billing addresses attached to an order, together with the contents of any message you send to customer support.
  • Information created by an order. The products bought, the order number, the delivery status, and the history of orders placed from the same account or email address.
  • Information your device sends. IP address, browser and device type, device identifiers, the pages you viewed, the site that referred you, and timestamps.

2. Payment information

Card payments are taken by Shopify Payments, which handles them under PCI-DSS standards. Full card numbers and payment credentials are entered on the processor's secure layer and are not stored by us: we receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, the method used, and the final digits needed to match a refund to a transaction. We cannot see or retrieve your full card number at any point.

3. Why we hold it

  • To take, pack, ship, track, return and refund your orders.
  • To answer your questions and keep a record of what was said.
  • To detect and prevent fraudulent or unauthorised transactions.
  • To understand which pages and products are used, and to fix what is broken.
  • To meet tax, accounting and other legal obligations.
  • To send marketing messages, only where you asked for them; every one carries an unsubscribe link.

4. Who else sees it

We share personal information with third-party service providers only where they need it to do a job for us: our e-commerce platform, which hosts the store; our payment processor, to take payment; shipping carriers, to deliver the parcel and supply tracking; and analytics providers, which tell us how the site is used. Each receives the minimum required for that task and nothing more.

We may also disclose information where the law, a regulator or a court requires it, or where it is necessary to protect our rights, our property, or someone's safety. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not pass it to third parties for their own marketing.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

The site sets cookies to keep your cart, remember preferences and measure traffic. Your browser can block or delete them, though turning cookies off entirely will break the cart and parts of the checkout. Analytics cookies can be refused without affecting your ability to place an order.

6. How long we keep it

Order and transaction records are held for as long as we need them to fulfil the order, handle returns, answer disputes and satisfy tax and accounting law. Support correspondence is kept while it is still useful to the conversation. Once a record no longer has a purpose, it is deleted or anonymised.

7. Security

Data moving between your browser and our servers travels over SSL/TLS encryption, and access to customer records is limited to the people who need it, with administrative and physical safeguards around that access. No system connected to the internet is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of information transmitted to us.

8. Your rights and choices

You may ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, to correct it where it is wrong, or to delete it where no legal obligation requires us to keep it. You may withdraw consent to marketing at any moment, through an unsubscribe link or by writing to us. To exercise any of these, email support@mynycwebsite.com from the address on the order and say what you would like done.

9. California residents

If you live in California, the CCPA gives you further rights: to know the categories and the specific pieces of personal information collected about you; to have that information deleted, subject to the legal exceptions; to opt out of its sale, noting that we do not sell personal information and would publish a clear opt-out first if that ever changed; and to be treated no differently for exercising any of these rights. Send a CCPA request to support@mynycwebsite.com with CCPA Request in the subject line. We will verify who you are before acting on it.

10. Children

This store is neither built nor marketed for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them, in line with COPPA. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to this policy

This policy will be updated as the store changes. The revised version is posted on this page with a new effective date, and continuing to use the site after that means you accept it. Please look it over from time to time.
